So i want to get everyone’s opinion on something. As you can see from the previous picture I need to do something with the tile that was laid because the pipe is coming up half under it. My question is do I just cut the tile or pull up the entire piece and do a more precise cut around the pipe and re lay it along with the second. That being said this will not be seen because it’s under the stand completely. So it comes down to do I send a bunch of time on something that will never be seen or just get it done and get the tank in place lol.

Ya my f meter is at zero and this is going to be one of those things that no one will ever see.

But someone may tease you about it. I'm not saying who but maybe someone! Lol

Wow! Completely amazing. Lovely build, and congrats on the accomplishments.

I would definitely take a second to get something to drink, and take the time to dremel the tile and make it as neat as possible. You put so much into the house thus far, something so small may not be a simple fix, but it will be worth doing neat.

But it is totally up to you!

Dang you guys.....ok ok fine I guess this will take longer than expected lol. What I’m going to do is pull up the tile completely. I will chip up the floor to expose the drain and then cut it to fit the tile back in place.

+1

If you're anything like me, you'll be happy you did it the right way or, maybe I should say, didn't take the easy way out. There's much to be said about having pride in our work.

Well here ya go everyone. Doing it the “correct” way lol. Still have to scrape up the thin set then going to get some measurements to plumb this up in the stand where I want it. Was very easy chipping it up...with the correct tools lol. Hope to have this all complete this weekend with tile laid and ready for the stand to be placed.

Going to get some hot patch hydraulic cement to fill in all the holes and around the pipe. I have plenty of thin set, gout and tile so I’m good there and will match up perfectly. Another step closer!!!

All the thin set is up. Heading out to take measurements, grab plumbing materials, and hydraulic cement. Cutting these tile to fit the drain may be difficult, but think it will turn out amazing.....even tho NO ONE WILL EVER SEE IT!!!! [emoji23]

Looking good!

If you can and they lay flat, position the tiles on the floor and use, what looks to be, a cheap 3" carbide hole saw. Just a thought.

Trust me I thank god every day. My first daughter is a cancer survivor. She is my hero, the thing she went through would have killed me. We found out at 19 month old she had leukemia.
God bless your daughter , and your entire family. Love this entire build thread..... Best ever
