Wow what an amazing journey you have take. Us on. First a house build, then a miracle addition to your family and now the dream tank build. Sorry to hear about the sump problems. But your persistence is paying off.

Thanks!! ya I know I love reading and following along on other builds where the person is so into it and has planned out everything! I thought that my journey would be one for the books and hope to have my fully finished product soon. I know when is is fully done my family and I will enjoy this for years!!

Got the cut acrylic for my calcium reactor. Wish my buddy’s laser had a bigger work area to have him cut my sump! Oh well, water is clearing up nicely and fish will be going in tomorrow.

I've been MIA but hope all has been well. Congrats on getting the tank wet and the fish!

How is it going?

Display tank- It’s moving along. Tank is clearing up and diatoms have been present for about a week now. I finally got the skimmer broke in and working correctly. I’m showing about 5 phosphate, about 3 nitrate, calcium/ mag were great, alk was low at 6. Salt I think is the culprit for that so I’ll be adding alk as needed. More than likely I will be switching salts.

Internet- so finally after a bunch of back and forth’s with internet provider we came to a price we can both live with. I should have internet within a few weeks and that means apex will be fully operational and completely monitoring as I intended.

Acrylic- so my buddy spoke the acrylic guy, which is a friend to both of us, and asked about my stuff. He said he is just so busy and cannot get to any custom projects right now. But did tell him that if he and I want to come in he would let us run the laser and do what we need to do. So he and I need to set a time and date and get my sump cut!! Hope to have that done by end of month. Will be nice because tank will be cycled so just an easy swap over and make it all look pretty.

Storage tanks- because internet is getting done I need to get the floats done for water storage tanks in garage. I did a little fab work and came up with this..... see pics and let me know what y’all think!! 1/2” pvc will be used with a bulk head in top of tanks. Pvc will be sealed as to not get any water in with wires. The “T” is for a chicken auto water system. Threads needed to be upped a size from 1/8” but not 1/4”.

Fish- picked out the fish I’m going to do in the display so qt will be setup after i order them. I’ll order the ones that need to go in together to try and hinder any unnecessary fighting.
