Very eerie how similar our builds are. Loving the progress, had to get through 18 pages before it got interesting (hehe) but enjoying the ride!!!

lol ya and there is more to come once the acrylic is cut. I’m super stoked about the build in it, ato tank, reactors, carx, etc. prob a couple more fish going in but I’m taking a qt break. I have kinda made the decision only high end pieces are going in the tank. My previous was full of random stuff and this one is going to be epic!

Just read from beginning to end, what an adventure -- with the house build and the tank builds and everything, if I could pick one thing to take forever, I'll take the sump over the house construction any day.

Did you pick up something for coraline?

yes very great full the house was as easy of a process as it was. The sump yes will come in time I guess lol. Just hope sooner than later hahaha. As far as coraline I got some from a friend, old plugs and snail shells. Made sure to scrape and dip them prior to entry into the display.

Cool, the coraline seems to have taken root pretty quickly.

Awesome build so far! What bulb combo are you doing in your hybrid? I have the same one with 4 xr15w gen3 pros. Also at what height do you keep your light?

I used gieseman bulbs, and they consist of 2 super actinic, 1 actinic plus, and 1 purple plus. The combo seems to work well with the radions. I have them on a modified ab+ Schedule. The fixture is 12” off the water and have maybe an inch or two to go higher if needed. My par right now is almost 400 at top of rock and aprox 180 on sand with all lights lit. I have had no issue with too much light accept when nutrients where low. At that time I had the t5’s off and just ran the leds. Without t5’s it dropped the par just over 100. Here are a few pics with the new iPhone, I have to say the camera is pretty sweet!

So i did a thing today.....actually 2 lol. Dragon soul torch and an unknown but is super pretty. Orange streaks with blue tips and green mouth. Had to see the green mouth in the pics, need to do some top downs. Also added fans for temp purposes so hope that keeps it down. If not I have to run a chiller which i have just don’t want to use it lol. Euphyllia garden is growing!!!!

That's one of the nicest tanks i've seen. How did you get your corals colors to pop so much? I wish my tank looked like that!!

thanks you very much! It’s just the lights, majority are taken with iPhone. No magic tricks here just heathy coral and good lighting.

I’m going through an ugly phase with hair algae. I have added a ton of snails and crabs to clean this up. I’m going to start a vibrant treatment. Soon to get it eradicated. I’ll post up progression pics upon the start of treatment. All fish are doing well and was making a list of new additions to get started in qt.

Reduce white light intensity a little

today I started a vibrant treatment. I have tried reducing lighting didn’t help. bought a ton of crabs, snails and an urchin helped but, they clear a spot And when they move to a new spot it grows back in the cleared area. We shall see how it works, I’ll take progression pics.
