I figured if I’m going to do a color scheme I might as well go all out.....right! I may paint the valve body white and knob blue.....thoughts, concerns on that?

So I have a few fish in qt right now. Pair of clowns and six line. Started the clock yesterday after I got the full copper level achieved. It’s hard to get good shots of these guys with how fast they move lol.

Also received my new camera and have been practicing the macro shots. I have a 60mm macro lens on a Nikon d5600. taking pics has added another level of love for this hobby.

I’m still waiting for the acrylic to come back but have started the wire management and other things I can do without the sump. Kinda sucks waiting for this but it will be worth it. I may be calling around to see if I can find someone else to get it cut for me if I wait much longer.

Man you’ve been super busy. Tank and everything looks great. Love the blue color scheme. If you’re still looking for some equipment let me know I’m downgrading to a lagoon and have an extra eb8.

I know this is taking me way longer than it should but while I’m waiting for the acrylic.....yes I still don’t have it back yet, I figured I would get everything i can done. Work table top is complete. It is removable so I can gain access to the under side for wiring and equipment maintenance. Really finished off the top of the stand. I’m going to start on the wood face to match the display stand, and get the rest of the apex equipment installed. I also did a chalk board painted section to cover the over flow of display. For notes I may need.....like fish in qt! They will be in the display Wednesday as I’m on shift tomorrow and won’t be able to take them out.

Are you having a big RO system installed or just an under the sink style system? If you’re going big, I agree with what was said before. Have a line plumbed into your fish room but if that isn’t quite an option, do you have space to have a reservoir somewhere near by?

I do have an 8 stage ro/di system with 2 95 gallon holding tanks. I also ran 2 ro lines, one salt one fresh, into the fish room. Also have a 3/4” pvc line that comes off the pan world pump from either tank to move a lot of water. All of that ro/di equipment is ran off apex system. I ran an aquabus cable to the fish room as well.

So I think it’s time to move on with finding a new person to cut my acrylic. I looked back at the text and dates of when I dropped off all my acrylic and the 28th will be 5 months.....

I contacted a friend of mine who has CNC machines as well as water jet machine. I sent the files over to him to run and see what time frame I would tie up his machine. He said tomorrow he will get back with me with a price. At this point I’m over it and don’t care, just want it done lol.

if the price is good it looks like next Friday he and I will be getting together and I will be getting everything cut and Saturday @Fishfinder and I will get it all glued up. If everything goes as planned I should have water flowing in my display in a couple weeks.

I was really getting bummed and starting to loose faith I would ever get it going. After speaking with him I’m getting excited again and can’t wait! I will bring my GoPro and camera to show the progress of the acrylic adventure!!
Thanks all for hanging in there with me!!

Has the sump been made? We need updates. Lol

Ok ya so kinda ridiculous as I called around to multiple places to have this done and still at the same spot. Had a couple places just not get back to me after the files were sent. One gave me a price which I felt was kinda high of $500 but was over it and ready to get it done then stopped returning my calls. And finally I had one give me a quote of $1500 to just cut MY acrylic lol. I think I’m to the point of wanting this tank running that I’m going to get a 40 breeder as a temp sump till this other guy gets it cut. He wasn’t going to charge me to do it but he has to find the time outside of his regular custom jobs.

I just don’t understand the files are done and laid out, it’s literally just table time to cut. I have people telling me just go buy another sump, or just use a petsmart $1/ gal tank. I don’t want to as i have gone this far with having everything the way i want it and done right the first time. I’m really getting flustered and feel like it’s never going to get done.
