Hi All!
I bought a new LED for my Aqueon Evolve 8 because I just read online that each of the LED's on it are something like 0.085 watts so the whole unit is about 7 watts. I'm thinking that sucks for my corals. Unknown button polyps, red Goni, torch coral, couple of bullseye mushrooms, etc. So I bought a cheap $60 LED that's only 15 watts 5x3 watt. I know i should have about 45 watt but Holy cow! It lights up the room like 4th of July! So I am posting pics of my mushroom. From the first pic to the last was only about 4 minutes. Was it shocked? Is this normal?

With stock LED. Mushroom is at the top, slight left

New light installed, turned on the moonlight he curled up

Shut off the blue really fast and he started in curling

And then back to normal!

I also noticed on both of these guys that they are now raised in the center. This was after shutting off the pump to feed the Goni, Torch and black buttons some newly hatched Artemia. Do mushrooms have mouths? Do they eat Artemia too?

A little confused.

I also don't know where to place anything now. Mushroom on top is bleaching out. I just glued this rock down! Do I move it? Too much to figure out in such a small tank!

Hi,

Just give everything a little time to adjust to your tank. everything is new to them from the lighting to flow to water quality etc. Mushrooms are pretty tough.

Good luck
