Have a 65G = 36 (L) x 18 (W) x 24 (H)

When I first got into the hobby going on 1 year I started off with Fluval Marine Sea 3.0. Seems to have got me started. Have a few LPS: few Acan frags, Blastos, a duncan; and softies: a mushroom and some zoa frags.

The zoas are what im concerned about. They started stretching for a few months now, tried to move them up but didn't help. All other corals look happy, my blasto gave me a new head this month (maybe 2020 wasn't a write off lol). I have been eyeing the AI Prime 16HD...bought 2 of these guys. Gonna place them 12" apart and sell the Fluval.

Here my parameters from today.
Ammonia -- 0
PH -- 8.2
DKh - 8.3
Nitrates -- 10
Salinity 1.026
Temp 78

Like I said, I'm doing this for the Zoos. I really want a zoo garden going on. Im hoping the stretching is from the lighting and that the blast from 2 AI's (acclimiating of course) will do the trick.

What do you think?

I see you have a top. That will decrease PAR and even more when it’s dirty. I ran that light on my old tank and had no issue with corals, some sps up top.

Ya. Agreed. Maintaining cleanliness on the glass. But even with a top, and on top of the peak of the rocks they still stretching?

AI’s will work fine for softies and LPS in a 65 gallon. But if you’re going to have to supplement later on if you decide to give SPS a try. Just make sure to choose your zoas and palys wisely.

The unfortunate things about my fluval is distribution. I even moved the light to the front to give them optimal power (sure minus the glass) and still didn't help.

Not gonna attempt SPS until I get my zoas going. One thing at a time!!

I had that 65 with just two primes for over a year before I added the third and the T5s. You won’t have a problem with zoas
From what im over-reading is stretching caused by nutrient deficiency and bad lighting. You have a top on that tank also?
