U assumption would be correct...new to the hobby and it seems tho I read and watch videos I have to learn the hard way...ugh

May be ok there, tunicates perhaps. I am of the belief that dipping when first acclimating is in fact more harmful and stressful than beneficial. Any hitchhikers are also acclimating, so if you do the acclimation, keep the coral away from already established tank mates, then after 24 or so hours, do a dip, your still doing fine. I rarely dip, ( insert panic and mass hysteria here) yes I have paid a penalty for it a time or two, but in my years in the hobby, and buying only from very reputable sources, ive only had a real issue a couple times.
