Hello,

Was curious what are your dementions of your tank and types of overflows? But first welcome to R2R where you will find every is just darling and brilliant. Was curious if you have enough flow with just one mp60. Unless there is more and read it wrong or your not doing a reef. Was curious how tall your tank was simply because I have a new 425, and the only lights I found that would reach the bottom is the Mitas ghl x7, And has a better spread (but I’m using four also but they have six pucks each instead of 2. So definitely would
Love to see how you made your system work.
Could not play the video but we love pics, and again welcome looks like Bobs definitely your uncle. :)

7x3x3 overflow is 36 inches deep in the back left corner . I forget how wide the over flow is maybe 10 by 10 ? Mrc made an amazing tank.
There’s more than the mp60
There’s a closed loop pushing at the overflow with a broad distribution
And a panta rhei hydro wizard that can push 14k gallons, I have it on 62% right now . The mp60 is just creating a small pulsating wave .

That panta rhei you picked is amazing, such a good choice.

WOW one heck of a tank there bud! gonna be a reef?
If that was my tank I would do a tang angel and butterfly FOWLR and that would give you a reason to set up a smaller reef too :D :D

That ECM 75 is just massive in person, made for a tank closer to the 5000 gallon range and would easily push water 20 feet or more.

The ECM 63 though is the best pump out there right now, period. Silent, low power consumption, easy to clean, huge gentle flow (wider flow than a vortech and hard to describe).

Only downside is price

Hello,

So you have the one that can manage up to 13,500 gallons roughly. The reason I ask is I haven’t decided on wave makers yet, and the price on this is terrible but also looks very divine. I’m curious how things would go if I used two of those only on my new 425, and if I used one on my 240.

I was able to find it a tad cheaper from some other places but again, it would be extremely nice to only need one or two wave makers in either my 240 and 425. But being able to manage said flow with out damaging the fish and corals may take some creativity.

Why did you go with the 63 instead of the ecm 42 pro or even the 42? Other than flow, is there a major difference? Since they would be in my tank, one I wouldn’t think would want them to be so large that they take away from the beauty of the reef.

The flow concept for my
Tank wasn’t necessarily to have the most flow ( although I’m up there) but to push everything back at the overflow and have very little pumps/ chords obstructing the viewing area. Every tank is different . After some calculations it seemed that this single powerhead with its broad range did the best job. But it will be different in each tank.
