So I added some pods a few weeks back when I added my cheato in the sump. Now I have a snow storm of pods and my tank looks cloudy because of them, also I think I was in an bloom anyway but now it's worse haha there are so many I need to get my six line wrasse to take care of them PXL_20210512_162843440.MP.jpg 16208375282677253179700290864243.jpg

Oh ok. Does it have to be a certain color, I have some really cheap leds I could use for it
Honestly I'm pretty sure since cheato is an algea it would do better in a red spectrum of light I'm assuming that's why most fuge lights are dominant in red spectrum. But I just have a 6w led with white 6500k and some actinic blue but just keep it on whites only. Not sure how much growth I'm getting from it it's only been about two weeks. Keep it on a 10 hr timer over night when DT lights are off.

To minimize co2 I’d keep the fuge on 24/7
I've heard both, because I mean cheato is a plant either way and does grow by photosynthesis, which would need darkness. But on the flip said I've heard run it 24/7 so I'm stuck haha

So just a little update, everything's going pretty good right now besides had a big bacteria bloom like 2 weeks back and still lingering but not a big deal just cloudy also the insane amounts of pods floating around looks like a snow globe.

Still have stock lighting with my extra LEDs under the hood also have one on the back now for the chaeto. But still going to upgrade the light soon but want to get a kraken lids for it first. Other then that rocks are green green but also seeing spots of magenta coming in already which is really surprising. I run mine 12 hours opposite of DT to maintain PH, and you’re right if you want it to grow it needs a lights out period , plants grow in the darkness after using the nutrients during the day, nice start tho!! Expecting to see more to come

So I've been looking everywhere and can not find the answer, what species is this hermit crab? Some sort of bumblebee hermit crab? Idk I love it though he's been thriving, had two but one disappeared, no shell to be found or anything

I'm obsessed with this tank haha just gunna keep posting updates for myself:) Everything is doing great so far, the amount of pinkish reddish that is starting to spread on the rocks is insane day by day Im just watching it about to explode with Coraline, to be honest I thought it was way to early but I guess not.
