I almost freaked out today when my Pink tail fairy wrasse resurfaced after being missing for a month. He was pale, skinny and looked like a ghost. He was only out for a few minutes before retreating back into hiding.

Has anyone ever heard of wrasses being missing for that long and eventually resurfacing? Before going missing he was always out cruising the tank looking for a meal. [emoji33]

How long was he missing? I had a blue throat go missing for a week and when I found him he was wedged between two rocks. Unfortunately he had stopped eating and died a week later.

Just moved my fishing from my 60 cube to my 65 rectangular tank lol and found the trigger once again hiding under the rocks so weird! He used to come out way more! Just weird I've been watching for fish picking on him and I'm not seeing anything yet

Good Luck! I have not had much luck with triggers for the exact reason. I have had two blue throat triggers and both ended up dying from getting stuck between rocks.

Update:
I just ordered 24 sps frags from Unique corals to replace frags lost during the transfer process. I will QT these frags in my 40 breeder before placing in DT. My CUC and frags currently in QT are ready to go into my DT.

I have decided to trade in my Desjardini Salfin tang and get a Red Sea Orange Regal Angel instead. The Salfin is fighting with several of the other tangs and the Magnificient Foxface. I realize I won't be able to keep some LPS corals such as acans but I'm willing to live with that. My Purple tang and Yellow tang are also constantly going at it, so I'm considering trading in one of them. Reducing the number of tangs should help ease the current aggression.

I am also considering replacing my Coral beauty and Flame angels which did not survive hypo. I will be replacing my Supermale Lineatus and Pink margin wrasse, both of which sadly did not make it through the hypo process. I am planning on doing a 4 wk QT and using an acclimation box for all new additions.

I added my CUC and corals from my QT tank to my office tank. The only pest I observed in QT were some Aptasias which I took care of with AptasiaX.

I am expecting 24 SPS frags soon from Unique Corals and will also place them in QT for a month. I will also be adding the rest of my CUC with the 24 frags.

Everything working great! I am still doing two 1 gallon auto water changes every day. Biopellet now online so I need to start doing water testing to make sure corals are happy!

Awesome to hear. I am planning one gallon daily water change soon also.
