I mounted the icon over my 24” cube aquarium. I started by using the acclimation program that came in the app. This light is a beast compared to what I was using before… very well built for sure.

What is the PAR at the edges of the tank?Installed my unit a few days ago which replaced a single Radion G4 Pro XR30. I've created a colour profile to my taste but would appreciate some input on the channel percentages and the PAR results. I know 500 is high but my Radion was pushing 700 at the same spot in order to get sufficient PAR to the edges of the tank which is predominantly SPS.
With the exception of the 135 PAR value, your PPFD looks pretty good! Please excuse the crude attempt at a PAR test and tank... I believe the Seneye meter is known to be far off at the edges but pretty accurate in the middle.
Hey Nick what’s the size of your tank and dimensions. Looks goodPlease excuse the crude attempt at a PAR test and tank... I believe the Seneye meter is known to be far off at the edges but pretty accurate in the middle.
Thanks for the feedback Dana, I wasn't sure if it was affecting the output with channel 1 being so lowWith the exception of the 135 PAR value, your PPFD looks pretty good!
Its an IM SR-60, 90x45x40cm.Hey Nick what’s the size of your tank and dimensions. Looks good
Still chugging along here.
It’s pretty much all channels the same intensity that peak then drop, for my setup it wouldn’t be enough par without dragging the peak out, but I do ramp up all channels the same intensity for a while, far as I can tell that the main point of it, using the full spectrum of the fixture.I took a look at your build thread, did you ever try the Helius spectrum? I can't really find any videos showing the spectrum.
Thanks! Looking to put 5 Icons over my 300, I really do not want a super blue spectrumIt’s pretty much all channels the same intensity that peak then drop, for my setup it wouldn’t be enough par without dragging the peak out, but I do ramp up all channels the same intensity for a while, far as I can tell that the main point of it, using the full spectrum of the fixture.
You may like the old versions then. I'd see if orphek could send you the old version with the better controls. The older v4 have a white spectrumThanks! Looking to put 5 Icons over my 300, I really do not want a super blue spectrum
Yeah it’s not super blue running at channels at 100, and if you wanted it wouldn’t be a big deal to drop the blue channel a few percent. I think the “key” to the spectrum is the infrared channel which certainly isn’t blue! Thanks! Looking to put 5 Icons over my 300, I really do not want a super blue spectrum
I love this look. Very much like the Radium bulb overdriven by an HQI ballast. A 14K look with all channel even. If you want the Uber blue just drop channel 1 and 2 and your thereThanks! Looking to put 5 Icons over my 300, I really do not want a super blue spectrum
Loving it! I am old school and hate the Uber blue look of today’s reefI took a look at your build thread, did you ever try the Helius spectrum? I can't really find any videos showing the spectrum.
