New peacock mantis :D

So I got this silly girl last week… pic from at the lfs, haven’t gotten any of her in her tank yet. Haha I put my finger near the hole she’s poking out from and she backs in, I pull it out and nosey follows she won’t grab and inspect it yet. Just back and forth keeping her distance haha

Glad I remembered to check for male parts before letting her out of the bag I had been looking for a smaller one for a few months and luckily this one came in as an actual peacock, not a peacock wannabe!

i had actually forgotten how interested they are in you! All my other mantises wanted nothing to do with me.

Finally moved her into a 55 gallon tank after being in a 10 for a few months Here she is eating a half shell clam around 6pm then again at 8! I gave it to her at 4 she has a few emerald crabs in with her. I can’t wait to test out tank mates! Of course I’ll move them to my 75 if either start harassing the other

Oh yeah I’ve had one just over a year now. He’s now just under 4” long. My thread is on this forum entitled “finally back.”
