New pistol shrimp not accepting goby.....yet??

Yes, that's what I bought. A Green Caribbean pistol. Never accepted the goby.
Sorry to bump an old thread but I can't find any information on this. I just bought a shrimp the other day just called 'caribbean shrimp'. It's only been in my tank for a day and it's a 20g. My ywg is not paired with it yet and although it is early, these stories are scaring me especially since my goby is so tiny even compared to the shrimp.

Did yours look like this? and how did you catch it?

It has been some time, but I remember it being more white. I never caught it. I got lucky I guess, because he didn't live long.

Literally making a bottle trap as I type this. Don’t want it to harm my fish. At least you got lucky!

My tiger pistol is the only one in the tank right now. Everyone else is in quarantine getting tre with CP because of a velvet outbreak. He's working away.
