Oh! I don't have to cut the pipes or anything? Does the stock pipe work or is there something I'm missing? Sorry for being a dummy and thanks for the answers!

Yes you have to cut the stock drain pipe and install a 32mm to 1in 90 degree elbow adapter then use 1in piping and measure out one straight piece to the back of the clarisea then a 1in 90 degree elbow then add a short piece of 1in pipe and add a 1in union adapter and then measure a piece of 1in pipe from the union to the inlet to the back of clarisea. Just dry fit everything before gluing all the pieces together it’s really not a tough job. It took me maybe a hour and a half total

I have the exact same set up excluding the lighting. Went with 3 hydra 32hds.

To connect my clarisea filter. I cut out all the sump chambers besides the return pump section.

To connect the filter roller. Purchases a 32mm to 1in from BRS. Then to connect everything I used vinyl tubing.

Some quick pics of some of the corals right before lights out. The Blastos and zoas came from @Kungfucorals

Great looking tank. 2 questions.

1. Did the heat form the fireplace ever cause any issues?

2. What kind of evaporation do you see on the tank? How often do you refil the ato reservoir and how big is the reservoir?

Haven’t had any issues with the fire place it doesn’t get used often either. It’s a propane setup and throws out enough heat to take a chill out of a room but other then that it’s more for looks. As far as evaporation I fill a 5 gallon ATO tank once a week even in summer with air conditioning running it’s about 5 gallons a week.

Added some new branch rack to the tank any thoughts? Any ideas on coral to place on it?

I am swapping my AI Hydra 32HD for G5 XR15 Blue. Excited for them to be here.
They are the best lights in my opinion...I had 2 kessil A360 before and they arnt close in my opinion. I can’t speak the the new kessil AP9X I was going to get it but got burnt by a vender for 700 dollars and kessil did nothing to help the situation which kinda rubbed me the wrong way so I went with the Ecotech and couldn’t be happier. I really like the Mobius app and that all my equipment is on the same app. Cloud and thunder mode is a nice touch also I have it set for like a 15 percent chance for a few hours of the lighting schedule and every once and a while I’ll get cloud coverage or a storm it’s really just a cool feature. I found that the LPS template is the best and tweaking the color spectrum slightly. Lmk if you have any questions about it.

It is unfortunate about the Kessil issue. I actually have the AP9x over my XL300 and love it. With that being said, you can't go wrong with Radions and they are probably still the better light. Haha! Looks like you like your purchase!!! I am jealous that my tank is on like 29 different apps it feels...

Yeah it was unfortunate cause I waited forever for the AP9X but the lack of care from kessil about the situation spoke volumes. All I wanted was for them to talk to the vender and ask to refund me the money. I bought a AP700 and it got lost in shipment with covid for weeks and by the time it came I heard they were finally releasing the AP9X and so I refused to accept shipment never even had the light in my possession and the vender said I took things out the box and did t return it in its original condition and refunded me 280 of my 700 back and when I tried to communicate with them the basically treated me like a sucker. Anyways kessil wasn’t much better they acted like they were going to help and then ignored me after a few emails so I went the ecotech way and honestly I love the lights. I love that all my pumps and lights are controlled in mobius. Honestly I’ve gotten more growth and color out these lights also.
