Hi all! -not an aquascape question perhaps but I’m building out a brand new RedSea REEFER 625 and am torn between going all fresh, like using new ReefSaver or similar rock and starting from a scratch, pest-free, but a long(er) cycle...
or seed some great live rock from my current 10year-old BioCube29, but that unfortunately will most certainly have hair algae and others on it -but no pests at least.
What do you think?
Part of me really likes the idea of building from scratch, the other half likes the idea of seeding/reusing what I already have, and helping the cycle time too I’d imagine...
Experienced advice and suggestions welcomed, thanks!
