Hello fellow reefers, setting a used 180 gallon tank I picked up locally with all gear including a lifereef sump and refugium. This unit was soft plummed from the original manifold built from lifereef. I decided to modify to a hard plumbing and flex tubing combination for ease of maintenance. The supply lines(drain) is a 1 1/2 inch ( 2 of them) and returns are 1 inch ( 2 of them). I would like to know how many loc lines I can run out of my returns . My main pump is a PAN Worl NS200PS with 1740 GPH. Max head pressure of 39 ft. Could I run two loc lines out each 1 inch return lines?

In my opinion there isn't one right answer it just depends on what you need them to do based on what kind of coral you have. in the end of the day you can always add more flow with powerheads

My original tank had four wye locline returns on a MAG 950 pump.

My replacement tank could only fit two because of the Euro Bracing:

So with the big pump you have, you won't have any problem running two or four or more Loclines per return line!
