Building a new stand for my 230 gallon. Sump is going to sit under the stand. I am just wondering if it’s okay to have it sit on the floor, or if I should have it up on supports like 2x4s or something.

Noted. Thank you. I haven’t fully decided on where to put it yet, but the floor material is either wood or concrete, so probably a good idea to have it raised. The floor is fine IF it can handle long term water exposure (like vinyl). Water will get trapped under the sump and ruin carpet or wood floors. The safest thing to do is to prop it up on something so that water can dry underneath it.
What is your current floor?Building a new stand for my 230 gallon. Sump is going to sit under the stand. I am just wondering if it’s okay to have it sit on the floor, or if I should have it up on supports like 2x4s or something.
Depends on where I end up deciding to put it. Will either be concrete in my basement, or vinyl upstairs. What is your current floor?
Is it a concrete floor, main wood floor, basement, .... ??
