So we left it like that for two days and they came back on Wednesday to add the back and front.

The builder offered to leave the front off for a couple of days if I wanted so that I could go ahead and put the aquascape in without the front pane in place. Novel idea: I'd never heard of that!

But since I'm still struggling with the aquascape design and haven't yet ordered the rock and he didn't want to leave it more than a couple of days, we decided to go ahead and do both front and back.

In order to be able to get the three meter back pane into place, the stand had to be angled further into the room...

Small PVC sheets taped into place for them to be able to rest the long pane on in case they needed to put it down before lifting it into place:

This is why there are five today... 165kg of glass... each pane.

Remove the morning condensation from the glass... also gives them a breather!

Here you can see how the overflow into the weir is just a shorter end pane...

With the glass in place but before the silicone, time to put the first coat of paint on the outside of the glass.

you can see the others slacking off again!

Voila. The second coat will be put on another day when this has dried with a long handled small roller as there will only be 5cm of space between the wall and the back of the tank.
