Hey guys. Wife and Is 75 gallon has some highly annoying what looks like brown hair algae taking over our rocks. It's in both of our tanks. Wiping it immediately removes it.
Our fighting Conch has taken care of nearly all of it in the zoa garden rocks. Our starry blenny and foxface also regularly eat at it.
Is this just our basic new tank algae, or is this something worse? When we had our 20 gallon, I wanna say we went through this and I think it was just basic new tank algae, but I can't remember now. It started big time once the lights were added. I also just added some chemi pure blue to help get our Phosphate down.
Lights are Current's new R24 LEDs. Sunrise at 9:30 am, sunset at 8:30 pm with a 2 hour moonlight fadeout.
At max intensity, Blues during the day are at 85%, whites at 40%, greens at 10%, and red at 20%.
Parameters:
Salinity: 1.025
Temp - 77/78
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 5-10
Ca: 440
Phosphate - 0.25
Kh - 9 - 161.1
