Hello reefers,

Currently have an old FOWLR tank I have had up for 2-3 years run off a Canister and am changing to a new tank with sump.
tank is a local British made Aqua Marin 900 which was a great price and I like the fact it has a ‘letterbox’ style weir, maximising space in the tank. And has a double return with RFG nozzles.

The New tank has been delivered to a local store and waiting for it to be deliver to me.
Have also got a local artist build me an aquascape which I am being sent progress photos of.

will be using the current fluval marine 3.0 light on new tank for now until I end up putting in corals which I then may upgrade the lighting. But will likely be mostly softies and couple lps.

I have a cheap jebao power head right now which I will be upgrading to a Aqua Illuminations Nero 3.
Will also be putting in an auto clarisea sk3000, TMC reef pump 4000 dc return pump and a bubble magus curve 5 skimmer.

So, it’s been awhile since last updated, there was a problem with the aquascape an needed to be remade. There was also delays in the tank being delivered. Anyway, managed to get it all set up on the weekend and have got it all running.

I put some old media in the sump and some old rocks in the display for now. Put some Fritz fritzyme 9 in a with old livestock and cuc.
Checked cycle after 2 days and sitting at 0 ammonia 0 nitrite and 2 nitrate.

clarisea sk3000 seems to be pulling plenty out as the fleece is filthy.
Bubble magus skimmer broke in after around a day and is producing skim but is a wet skim so will likely be adjusting that for abit more dryer skim.

Herbie drains running silent and return rfg nozzles seem to be working well. Though one of them occasionally pulls some air so that will want a small adjustment.

Looking forward to getting some corals in here. Likely be mostly softies

anyone any ideas let’s hear them.
