Well it doesn't look like the App will allow you to narrow the search down to a location which is a bummer.

I live in Spokane Washington. I have shipped a few clownfish. I was really nervous about shipping to the east coast. Turns out fish would arrive in New York sooner than they would to California. FedEx is supposed to deliver by 10:30 am the next day and with time zone differences, fish are in a bag the longest if shipped to someone in my time zone.

We have now added the requirement for all members to choose a "location thread prefix" when buy, selling or trading items on R2R.

Why? There are a couple reasons and are really pretty simple.

1. You can now see where an item is located and that opens up the ability to work with the seller or buyer to meet up in order to avoid shipping. It also allows you to see how far something is away from you and lets you decide if you are willing to chance having it shipped to you or take the chance shipping to someone father away from you.

2. As new items are added you will be able to search items by prefix or by location.

This change will only apply to all new marketplace items from this point forward. All old items will remain the same.

How do you add a prefix? It's simple!

1. When creating your thread you will see the "prefix" option here.

2. Click the drop down box and choose your location.

This is what it will look like in the forum listing once the prefix is added.

The system will not allow you to create a new thread without choosing a prefix.

Thank you!
Awesome, great idea and should be helpful for all

Love it...possible to search by state for all threads with the state?
