Hi everyone,

I'm really excited to make a zoa-dominated mixed reef, but I'm having some trouble with the rastas that I bought from my LFS. The first few days they were open and incredibly colourful, but now they are always closed. I've had them for 1.5-2 weeks. I had them up somewhat high because I was told that my light wouldn't be strong enough (Coralife Aqualight-S LED), but figured maybe they were getting too much light and I moved them to the bottom of the tank. All of my other zoas and palys are fine. 55 gallon, 455 calcium, dose with Red Sea Trace-Colours ABCD when necessary, salinity 1.25. Nitrates are constantly high despite weekly water changes. Using an FX5 canister filter on low flow with only activated carbon and bio-balls.

Rastas on the second night:

Other zoas (not sure what kind):

I’m not sure, the greenish zoas on the square frag plug are radio active dragon eyes. I believe

These are the toughest morphs for me. Had a frag totally die and my second frag is really finicky. I have mine mid tank, decent but not direct flow.
