i figured its time to put up a thread and introduce myself and my tank.. for starters this tank was originally my freshwater tank and i had a 220g reef.. but after my devorce i moved into a second floor condo where the 220 had no chance of going. so i decided to put my 92g corner bow into use..it originally was not a RR tank and had an internal rear compartment for filtration.. i removed that and drilled the back of the tank for a 1 1/2" bulkhead and 2, 1" returns.. figured i would have good turn over and less plumbing.. my next challenge was to figure out how to filter the water with a sump utilizing a fuge as well.. the largest conventional tank i was able to fit was a 20g long. it just wasnt enough for proppor filtration. i decided to raise my stand 8" and go with a 54g bowfront and make a few mods with some 1/4 glass to make compartments..
first compartment was my drainage area where i use a 7" filter sock to collect bulk debris and its also where i keep my 2 heaters. second compartment is my mechanical filtration, i have my skimmer in here as well as my return from my manifold which suplies water to my UV sterilizer, my carbon reactor and my biopellet reactor. 3rd chamber is my return up to the tank.. with all that done and only taking up less than half the tank i had plenty of room to make my refugium, where i keep abt 25 lbs of live rock and various macro algeas.
my display is lit by a 24" Led panel by ecoxotic with multple blue and blue/magnta stunners. I have abt 60 lbs of live sand and abt 100 lbs of mixed live rock.
i have smoe really nice sps and lps coral, hundreds of inverts and sme nice fish, a pair of Doni's reef Snowcassos, a pair flame wrasses, a melanarus wrasse, leopard wrasse, lemon peel angel, a naso tang and my favorite(bc ive had him since he was abt 2") my vlamingi tang.

so with all that said heres some pictures..love to hear any feedback..

Welcome to R2R. Nice setup.

The only suggestion I have is to not keep the Naso and vlamingi tang in a 92gal long term. They need a much larger tank as most tangs do. Other than that everything looks great :)

Both of those fish get huge and will need a bigger tank. Not trying to discourage at all, just an FYI as you plan for the future.
