My ball actually floats on the water. It may still be too high.

It now floats on the white ball looks just like yours. Is it now okay to put the RODI water in the ATO if it is not heated?

Let it be evaporation will do the rest and get you where you need to be. Get a refractometer to measure your salinity. ASAP.

I believe everything looks good. Here are some final pictures. Everything seem to be in tune? Skimmer at neck, ATO filled, dc pump chamber at 6", float switch right above pump intake, etc...

Make sure you calibrate your refractometer using RODI or the fluid it comes with. Also, I'd recommend getting that power strip off the stand. I almost burned my house down from my last tank leaking.

Would I get a coral or fish first when I get to that point? What are your thoughts on anemones

I would make sure your salinity is correct, also you can take a water sample to your local fish store and ask them if you are ready for fish.

I would do fish first, read up on quarantining. I regret not doing it when I started.

Anemones require an established tank. I'd wait on those.

Ok I just read that if you are going to get an anemone get one early on because they can hurt other corals when moving. Have you ever had one?

For an anenome you need a well established tank. I would not even think of putting one atleast till tank is about year old. Mine just passed a year and just picked up one.
Put a pair of fish in once your tank is cycled take it slow
