I’m setting up a 200 DD (1 BIG brave in the center) and only have 2 G2 XR30 Pros I may upgrade to G3s, but I don’t see that helping with coverage. I won’t have it up for a few days yet to see if It’s acceptable. Too bad Marineland doesn’t use two braces and I’d just add another XR30. I saw this and thought maybe I could mount it to my existing RMS for a nice hybrid solution...

That's a 48" wide and 36" deep tank right? That would be nice if you could just do 3 in a row but that center brace kills that idea. Since you already have G2's might as well try them and see how they do. If they don't cut it, i'm sure the new G4Pros would do it, at least in the 24x24 space and you would just be a little lower par going out on the edges of the front and back since your tank is so wide front to back.

Can you do me a huge favor and measure the width of each of the T5 fixture halves? I can't seem to the dimensions of each two bulb section. I have a different led fixture that I would like to mount in the middle of this fixture but am having a hard time trying to calculate if this will fit inside my canopy.

Thanks in advance!

The standard setup which they have now left about 7" of space in the middle to mount your LED. They are coming out with optional side mounts though so you can mount farther out or shorter to make it more compact, but not sure when they will have the optional brackets.

I was going to custom fab a bracket to hold each side separately, so I just need to know what the dimensions are of each T5 side. I am going to mount this inside my canopy but I just need to determine if it will fit around my current setup or if I will have to go the retro fit route.

Would you mind getting a quick measurement of one side for me?
I would like to get in on the pre order if it ends up working for my application.

Also does this unit run off a single power cord or two?
picture on the website looks like one. just wanted to confirm

Hi, sorry for the slow reply. Here is the measurement of one strip.
One T5 fixture is 5.5 inches wide 47.5 inches long

How did you end up mounting it? I bought shelf brackets but theybdont come out to the middle of my tank so it wont sit in the center. Did you ceiling mount? Does it come with all the harware for that?

It does include a hanging kit. So that is the only factory option right now. They are supposed to come out with some type of legs for it soon.
