I have been in the hobby for about one year thanks to fluval nano 10g tank for newbies

with success ( to my likings and my small test kits) I decided to go big or go home and I have the set up

140 gallon Neptune tank
Aquatic life 48 with 3 Hydras26HD
Redsea 900 skimmer
Corallife UV sterilizer
apex
2 dos’s dosing (aqua forest comp123) and then (redsea ab+) at night
Trident to test my water 5 times a day
Aqua forest reactor filled with (life bio fill, carbon, phosphate minus)

Love the automation of everything and would love any feed back

happy reefing!

Looking good! I would have put the zoas on the right a little further down and left the upper real estate for some future SPS. They will eventually over run those rocks and you will lose those prime locations. You may not be into SPS now, but with a trident and DOS combo along with aT5 hybrid light fixture you have everything you could want to keep sps successfully.

How do you like the DOS’s as dosing pumps? I have one I set up for AWC and it is crazy noisy compared to my kamoer Wi-Fi dosing pump. I’ve got it set to do the water changes in the middle of the night when no one is around (tank is in the basement). If you’re going Trident then you need the DOS combo to get the most out of it though.

Thanks for the tip I will be moving them down this weekend. I’m excited about upcoming sps at my local LFS so that would look great up there

I love the dos, quiet and easy to set up and really accurate. I enjoy the communication with trident to either dose more or less by 30%

From a 10g to a 140g with all the trimmings, I commend you. I went from 13.5g to a 30g and see the benefits already. Your reef will be.....legendary. Wait for it to cycle and hit some beautiful live sales.

It’s best to let the tank mature a bit before adding SPS. They need more than good parameters. Generally once the Coraline takes off you’re good to go, it’s an indicator that your rock had matured enough and your parameters stable. I added sps pretty quick in my build but I was also using rock that was many years old from a tank I upgraded and had Coraline spreading within a couple months of adding water. Your tank is going to be pretty epic once it takes off.
