I am dealing with the same issue… I test, then dose neophos & neonitro daily… I got cyano, lost half my sticks, and the rest lost color because of low nutrients…I’m feeding 2 frozen cubes a day & still dosing heavily!!!

After a month of dosing both, the Cyano is disappearing & im getting good color back into my sticks!!! I was getting discourage, but it’s paying off!

ime, it’s not a consistent uptake… i dose between 40 - 100ml of neophos daily depending on daily readings… neophos is usually about 1/2 that…

good luck!

Wow that’s a lot of ml’s. I thought I was high when I was doing 20 mls daily not to mention the daily testing. I opted to invest in the DIY products because brightwell products are going to start to be an expense at the current rate.

Yes, it is a lot… past couple days it’s been 50ml neophos & 40 nitro… I’m testing with Hanna kits & that’s what it takes. Sticks are starting to look great finally!

pretty sure mine was from not enough fish. I have 6 fish now and 7 more on order… hopefully that takes care of low nutrients. If not, I’ll probably make my own like you… it’s pricey!

i had similar issues… for the first 10 days I would not read any phos / nitr the next day. It was absorbing sooooo fast… I just tested every morning, dosed, and keep a log of everything…. That’s helped me.

My cycano is finally 90% gone after keeping nutrients up for weeks. Before that, I would clean & they came right back… good luck!
