Entry 1:
This is my Biocube 16 Gallon AIO aquarium. It has been up and running since August 2018. I currently am running it stock with a Jebao 0W-10 powerhead. For filtration I have Seachem Matrix and Chemipure Blue. I have filter floss and a sponge filter. Would like to win this light to see how it will do for future builds.

Unfortunately it's not wet yet, but it's a work in progress ;)
It's 100L or about 25G without equipment yet.
It's 32" long and will be an LPS dominant tank with lots of movement :)

Although this tank was set up in late 2015, most of the rock and some of the fish (2 clowns, Coral Beauty, and Royal Gramma) have been with me in various tanks since 2008. The pink Cynarina in the middle of the tank has also been with me since 2008.

The tank is going through a bit of a rebirth right now. I was away for a good part of the second half of 2018 and the tank suffered as a result. I lost most of my SPS, all of my chalices (one was 10" in diameter), and all of my acans. Things are slowly improving.

I like to keep a more natural looking tank, so there is a lot of rubble, shells and coral skeletons in the tank along with lots of weird and wonderful sponges. I also use a cryptic refugium in part of my sump. I don't use reactors.

Tank details:

  • 4x2x2 120 gallons
  • 40B sump
  • Tunze 9410 skimmer
  • Jebao DCS-1000 return pump
  • Glamorca GP03 Gyre (same as IceCap 3k), MP40, Hsbao EW-38 wavemaker (3800gph) for in-tank flow
  • 2 generic black boxes and a Reefbrite XHO for light
  • Neptune Apex for control
  • I dose a DIY NOPOX (13ml) daily
  • I use Kalkwasser in my ATO
  • I use regular Instant Ocean salt

Here is my 90 gallon reef tank. I’m running a diy 20 gal sump and mag 7 return pump. Also have ice cap 3k gyre and jabeo w4, and cheap powered head for flow. 3/4” sea swirl, reef octopus 200 skimmer, dsunny 36” WiFi led and one 36” blue plus t-5. BRS carbon reactor and refugium running also. It’s been set up for 7 years but had a big crash back in September so had to restart everything. Thanks for the opportunity for the lights I’ll post a Facebook link in a min also.

This is my ongoing science project that as of just recently has settled down and things are starting to really grow. I try to maintain a more natural style reef using only a protein skimmer and chaetomorpha and water changes as the primary means of nutrient export and the occasional bag of chemi-pure or carbon, after years of trial and error this works the best for me. It is a mixed reef and I have slowly been collecting frags. SPS seems to do the best in this tank.

Ever since I first saw the Noopsyche lights I have been very excited to try them but have been resistant to purchase until they have had some time on the market -or- I upgrade to a new larger tank.

Equipment:
-Nano-box duo LED lamp.
- 17 gallon aqua Japan rimless tank
- 40 Gallon sump
- Kessil H80 Tuna Flora
- Current USA E-flux 1050 gph DC return pump
- Vortech mp10w-qd flow pump
- Xaqua in-out overflow and return
- Reef Octopus BH-50 skimmer
- Bubble Magus 3 head doser
- 500 watt titanium heater
- Vertek Aquaristik ro/di
- Innovative Marine ATO
- Aquaforest 3 part dosing.
