Picked up the UFO light today. It’s defi much brighter, as it should be with more than twice the wattage. I got the 150w version that pulls 63 Watts I think. I don’t know why that stupidity, saying a light usage more wattage than it does.
I have a tiny amount of chaeto left in there. We will see if this light can make it grow. One thing is that the fan is LOUD!!! I mean obnoxious, louder than my skimmer or overflow from the weir out of my fuge. I have the side of my stand off right now and it’s lighting up my kitchen pretty good.

Also added a small amount of triton AL99 per ICP test. I can’t detect any phosphate on my Salifert test kit but triton claims I have to much. So I’ll try and observe. I just put it in a media bag under my wier so we will see.

You now can add me to the list of people who have had a failure with the new triton milk cartons. Got my order in today and the box was soaked. Looks like carton #1 leaked about half. Not to happy about it. Triton needs to figure something out as all the replacements have to be costing someone a whole lot of money. Is there a plan for a solution @Tim@Triton ? Thankfully this was a spare, but if I needed it I would have been ******! Between the cartons and lack of availability makes me seriously question my decision to run Triton.

2 question please.

- how did you put all your rocks together? Glue , cement if so which?

Which magnet did you choose for stand panel? Please let me know.

I ordered aome magnets from ebay, and they break easily

I used the two little fishes reef putty for the rocks.

Magnets are just the biggest rare earth magnets Home Depot sells. Had to use a bunch of them. Used liquid nails to attach them to the plywood. They work really good.

I used these for the lighter sides I think
https://www.homedepot.com/p/MASTER-...rth-Magnet-Discs-3-per-Pack-07091HD/202526387
And I believe these for the heavier front.
https://www.homedepot.com/p/MASTER-...atch-Magnets-2-Piece-per-Pack-96344/203613135
Used like 5 of the big ones on the front and like 6 of the smaller ones per side. Would likely just use the bigger ones if I did it again. They are quite a bit stronger. I would go to store though and see what they have in person. I am not positive those are what I used.

One of the smaller balls out of my fuge. Everything is looking great besides some zoas being closed up. Not sure what’s up with that, but I’ll give them some time.

Alkalanity has been slow dropping. Thought tonight would be a good time to do my first dose. I started with half of the recommended dose and did 1 ml per 26gallons so 3ml of each element. The corals really responded well to this! Especially the gsp which fully extended for the first time in at least a week.
I have a Nikon D5200 and 60mm 1:1 macro lens from back in my planted tank/dwarf shrimp keeping days.

I went to IKEA and got a cabinet. This will house 2 Neptunes DOS, 2 DDR and my ATO reservoir(7gallon garbage can). I think it looks pretty slick. It also works out that a 20 long will fit on top perfectly. So once the 2 chromis I have in QT now are done, I will get a 20 long and use that for QT. The cabinet is also nice for storing all my meds and test kits.

Haven’t updated this in a very long time. Have added lots of high end SPS and they’re doing great! Literally have not lost a single one. So much for not doing SPS in the first year or even your first saltwater tank.
Vivids hot lava really fast grower this is a old pic

Busted out the dslr and Building An Obsession look down tube. Got a ton of really good pics. These are all right off the camera only resized. Really starting to get my settings to look as they do to my eye.

Fox flame. Love how this is a blue, green and pink

Walt Disney not that noticeable in the pic but I’m really starting to pull some pinks. It’s really encrusting like crazy now.
