My FOWLR tank used to have plenty of algae on the rocks. My Powder Blue Tang and Lawnmower Blenny have pretty much annihilated it. I have upped feeding nori from every other day to every day, as the tang I know needs to eat a ton. I am keeping up on my filter sock changes and water changes. Just curious to get some thoughts on whether or not you can over do nori feeding. I also feed mysis shrimp, ROE, and occasionally reef frenzy daily. Essentially feeding seaweed and frozen meaty foods everyday. All thoughts appreciated.

I don't think you can over feed nori but I also don't think its needed as much as many people say. I have fat tangs 6 and 8 years old and I've been feeding it once or twice a week for years.

EDIT: I have several zebrasoma that I've had for years and none have ever shown signs of hlle so I'm sure they're getting good nutrition.

This is my gang. 3 of the yellows were biota babies from last March and the vlamingii I've had a year all the rest of the tangs I've had from 3 up to 8+ yrs.

EDIT: I feed a mixture of Frozen heavy on PE mysis along with 4 types of pellets. They are getting more algae than they used too but I no longer feed nori. My scrubber is producing a lot and the tangs love the algae it grows so I just toss it in the tank and they suck it down like spaghetti.
