Not gonna lie looks like snake oil

Just got a container of Aquabiomics reef rubble and it looks like rocks and seashells i can get at the beach (i live 20min from the the beach). I was gonna order from TB Saltwater But there shipping is out if this world. I guess $50 for snake oil isn’t that bad.

After I dumped it out it definitely cloudy the tank up a but.

Whats y’alls opinion on this. Seems like snake oil but is it.

So it’s just crushed up live rock in fishless tanks so less pests? I think there are cheaper ways to get the same results but hey if the product sells…

Ever hear of the website Garf?
They used to sell Garf grunge.
It was all the crap from the bottom of there tanks.
I always thought it helped.

I looked at the product on their website, and I am not familiar with the vendor, but it's possible that it is what they claim.

"Tested by DNA sequencing". It's on the label. Ask for 1) their test results 2) the lab that tested it 3) and also test results from three prior batches.

Going with snake oil for someone who lives 20 minutes from the beach. Not so much for someone who lives 15 hour drive from the beach.

1) what exactly were the test samples?
2) how were the samples prepared (the DNA fragmentation)
3) how/what was the library preparation and purification protocol?
