I’ve had my tank 2 years now and have had an alabaster problem for months... it’s a mix of hair algae plus another I cannot ID... I’ve tried blackouts, manually removing, pulling rocks out and scrubbing with a wire brush, constant water/filter/skimmer changes, chemicals, but nothing has helped... I’m to the point that I want to break it down and start over... is there a thread I can find showing me how to clean all of the tank parts, pipes, pumps, rock, etc?? I’m feeling very defeated at the moment...

What are your parameters? Are you using RO/DI water? Is the rock leaking phosphates or silicates? I personally ran into a GHA outbreak and picked up a sea hare a couple days ago and he has been taking care of the algae very well. For only $25-30 to get rid of my GHA, I’d pay that any day.
