Now I have no way to make any water and my new tank is coming! Ugh!

Was it producing water before you replaced the original membrane?

I run an RO buddy booster pump and it eliminates all the mess with the 4 way valve flush valve etc. Pay no attention to tubing colors, they mean nothing on my system lol

Yes and I replaced the membrane three times. Thankfully BRS is sending me a new one because they couldn’t figure out what the issue was either and the valve isn’t backwards.

Wait a minute it’s backwards it’s still an issue lol! I just had to buy water lol! But it wouldn’t be backwards because the screws go on the bottom and blue goes on the top? It’s exactly like the photo and exactly how it’s always been which is why I don’t think it’s backwards. The screws go on the bottom. I personally think there’s a clog in one of the filters I have to take it completely apart though to look. Why can’t anyone agree?

Super easy to troubleshoot. This was discussed this in the other thread.

Is is not exactly like the picture. The screw heads should be on the low pressure side.

You did not get three bad membranes in a row. I am not sure from your first post that you had a membrane problem to begin with.

Why do you think one of the filters is clogged? Earlier in the thread you said you were flushing the membrane, if one of the prefilters were plugged there would not be any water to flush with.

Looks to me there is confusion on the auto shutoff. You are correct it is not in backwards with the in and out but the lines are incorrect. You have the low pressure and the high pressure incorrect on each side. The side of the valve marked in and out should be the high pressure red line. The side with the screw heads the low pressure blue line. Switch the red and blue lines around.

That was really hard to see. I was looking at the in and out.

That didn’t work! Maybe that doesn’t matter. It has always been the other way and I’ve had no issue prior to changing the RO membrane. Again I still have no water coming out of either tubes. I certainly have water going in and can continuously run it in. My di canister also isn’t filling or moving. Where the heck is the water staying/going?

I changed my membrane yesterday and didn't push the tube going into the membrane far enough so the water never made it into the membrane. It was very very hard for me to push the tube ALL the way in.

Honestly it's very easy for you to trouble shoot this. Just start unplugging tubes and see where the last place you see water coming out.

Rodi unit is crazy simple....just tubes and canisters....

No and now I can’t get any water out whatsoever.

I had this same exact problem with a BRS 5-Stage.

The first two stages are carbon blocks.

The problem was that the first of the two carbon blocks became completely clogged. Apparently, there is heavy sediment in the water here.

I pulled out the first carbon block and the water began to flow. So I packed an old resin cartridge with polyfil to protect the remaining stages, and placed it in the position where the clogged carbon black was. It works great.

Not sure I fully understand... Water is going into the RO housing but nothing is coming out of either tube at the other end?

Do you have the flush valve shut?

I would trouble shoot by first pulling the line off the IN side of the RO housing and make sure water is coming through the prefilters. If good there then reconnect and ...

Pull both off the lines on the IN side of the auto shutoff valve and see if water is coming out of both lines.

If water is coming out of both lines then good there and the problem is with the auto shutoff. Sometimes they get stuck and don't work properly.

Personally if you don't need the auto shutoff, I would simply bypass it.
RO blue water from the RO housing directly to the DI canister and the waste water line to the flush valve and then flush valve to drain.

Make sure flush valve is closed for normal operation. If it isn't then you may not see any RO water production.

I dont understand the people saying the shutoff is not correct. These units from brs come prepackaged and ready to use. She used it and it worked for how long? Then she changed out the filters not touching the shutoff there is no need to mess with it. It worked before the filter swap now it does not its not the shutoff. I know the membrane can be a little tricky to install and may or may not be the issue. I also dont think 3 of them were bad but who knows for sure if they were not Dow I guess its possible. Its possible something else has failed like the restrictor valve, just had this happen to an undersink drinking water unit I have changed the membrane and it stopped working. I thought it was the membrane only 1 way this goes in and it wont stay in the housing if its not installed properly. Unfortunately for me the restrictor valve is in the faucet this thing came with so had to replace entire unit. When I did I noticed they changed the design and put it in the line near the ro unit instead.

Not knowing anything about BRS, but don't they use locking clips?

I would start pulling filters and trying to get water through. My Carbon Blocks clog up faster than my sediment filters. I even tried going with a smaller micron rating at it still clogged faster.

I would go back to your other thread on this and follow @Sisterlimonpot trouble shooting.

That’s what I would do too. Turn the water on and start pulling tubes in order starting from the source water and will eventually figure where the holdup is.
