Like Ninjamyst said above, if you didnt change anything except the membrane, then you should try pushing it in more...lube the orings a smidge with silicone oil. Could also be a checkvalve or a few other things mentioned, but start with the membrane. I also had this issue after 2 or 3 years in...got a new membrane and thought it was in. The cap even went on "correctly" Took me 2-3 membranes before I figured it out, but based on the rest of my years of exp, I can say that you did not get 3 bad membranes in a row.

If you're positive that it isnt the way it's inserted, then pull every line loose at one end, turn the water on slightly and when water comes out of a tube, connect the loose end and move to the next....that will show you where the blockage is

Wait a minute it’s backwards it’s still an issue lol! I just had to buy water lol! But it wouldn’t be backwards because the screws go on the bottom and blue goes on the top? It’s exactly like the photo and exactly how it’s always been which is why I don’t think it’s backwards. The screws go on the bottom. I personally think there’s a clog in one of the filters I have to take it completely apart though to look. Why can’t anyone agree?

just take the four filters out and run it. if water goes through, put each filter back one by one till the flow stops.

Honestly it's very easy for you to trouble shoot this. Just start unplugging tubes and see where the last place you see water coming out.
This^^^

Start from where the water goes into the prefilled, and work your way to the clog.

These units from brs come prepackaged and ready to use. She used it and it worked for how long?
The confusion is that she started a new threads, and in the 1st thread she eluded to removing those tubes when replacing the membrane. So there's a possibility that she hooked them back up incorrectly.

Alright so there is a clog somewhere between the middle filter and the third one. It’s internal as I can’t see the clog and I’m not sure what the solution here is. I fixed the tubing issue and it’s hooked up correctly now.

The third filter is your DI resin. It is fed from the membrane. I assume your ASOV is put in backwards.

Can you follow this to make sure?

If our ASOV has "in" and "out" labels, in would be on the left.

Okay - is water coming OUT of the blue line leading INTO the ASOV (left)?

If YES

is water coming OUT of the blue line LEAVING the ASOV (right)?

Is water coming OUT of the flow restrictor in either case if water is coming out of the blue lines?

LOL, I've actually done something like this before. My TV was not working. Tried EVERYTHING up to and including taking apart all the connections in case I was getting a blank screen because of a faulty HDMI cable or some such thing. ......It wasn't plugged in.

Water is coming out of the red line not the blue line at all and the person at BRS and myself came to the conclusion that there is a clog internally after the ro membrane. Point being is the clog is internal and the entire unit is getting replaced. I was just hoping this was a last ditch effort to fix this one but nope it’s garbage bound everything but the filters obviously and other things I can reuse/keep. I took out all the filters and visually inspected them as well and the clog is somewhere I can’t see and can’t clean out/fix.

My bet is still user error. RODI unit is just tubes, connectors, and canisters. Even if there is a clog, its a clog in the where tubes connect to the canisters. There's no hidden mechanism. You can literally take a wire and just snake through all the connectors to identify if there's clog...

I thought about that. Not a horrible idea. But as mentioned I walked through it all with videos, directions, and multiple support agents. There’s a clog for sure but I did disconnect and reconnect and replace filters and tighten things multiple times a clog is somewhere we just are t sure where.

Hi Ayden - most certainly do whatever makes you feel comfortable.

I can help you troubleshoot further if you wish. There really is nothing to "clog". You either have a bad ASOV or something plumbed incorrectly if you decide to revisit.

I agree that there is probably nothing "clogged" or majorly broken with the unit itself. The unit also shouldn't magically clog itself after a membrane change. Most likely an error when reconnecting tubes.

i'd like to ask, I see you have the 4 stage plus 75. but you bought an extra carbon for it to make it 5? what did you find you needed an extra for? I was concerned with silicates for mine and thought to get one to remove it. I have the 150gpd and had to get the booster since it was at 40 something but now run it at 78.

This thread has caused me to blow a membrane. Thanks @Buckeye Hydro for being available to help us when we get our tubes clogged.
