Please help.

I have an infestation of nudibranch eating montipora. This critter is fast. I have already lost 10 frags that I just got for the tank. I have left 25 frags and are in danger.

what method Can help me to get rid of them Before it kills all my frags

I dipped in RO water for 50 seconds and the nudibranches melted

Now a clear film is getting out of the montiporas. Are the montis dying ?

They are sliming because they are stressed and ticked. They should make it though with color loss. As long as there is flesh left, montipora will grow back. Next time, dip in Revive or other coral dip for SPS. And putting them back into the same tank with monti eating nudibranch is just a slow death. You can keep dipping them every few days and maybe you get lucky and get rid of all the nudibranch in your tank. Best way is to quickly set up a QT tank, dip all montis in Revive, and move to QT tank. Leave your main tank free of monti to starve out existing nudibranch.

The problem with monti nudi's is if you have them you have lots of eggs too.
I have removed the monti's I can from my 120.
I just kill them now when I see them.
I have none in my frag/lagoon but I also have a 6 line wrasse that may keep them under control.
You can dip before adding to your system but it wont kill the eggs.

Oh no… monti more than likely won’t make it. Dipping an sps coral in RO is bad news bears my friend
I´ve heard people say that. Although if you think about it, in the Great Barrier in Australia when there´s low tide some SPS get exposed for hours to the air... well, I´m pretty sure sooner or later when they get exposed in low tide it is actually raining. So they must be able to withstand fresh water covering them for some time.

Having said that, I wouldn´t dip any sps more than a few seconds in freshwater hehe
