Between both 20g and 175g (total with sump) I’m topping off around 2g a day. So I’d be ripping off the top off every other day! So I swapped out the 5g to the Innovative Marine Auqa 15g reservoir.

Also decided to power all the main tank components with EB8 to monitor power and remote power toggle if needed.

Just finished my 14-day Zeovit cycle yesterday and I must say between Zeovit and Dr Tim's One and Only it has help lower water parameters to desired levels! I had a slight brown algae (diatom?) outbreak 4 days ago and it almost gone today. An indication of end of cycle is nearing?

Alkalinity - 8
Ammonia - 0
Calcium - 480
Magnesium - 1440
Nitrate - 5
Nitrite - 0
Phosphate - .07

I found some of these covers for my MP40's to protect the anemones. These should have came with the Vortechs instead of the sponge guards!

Today I completed doser for ZEOstart3. So my family only has to worry about adding ZEObak and Sponge Power for me while I'm away on business.

1:19, ZeoStart3 / RODI water.
(100ml of ZeoStart3 : 1900ml of boiled and cooled RO/DI = 2000ml)

Example: 0.2mL of ZeoStart3 = 4mL of mixed solution
My actual dose: 0.6ml ZeoStart3 = 12ml mixed solution

BRS Doser runnig for 10 mins = 13ml = 1.3ml/min. So I run doser for 9 mins = 11.7ml controlled by APEX.

I ran into some issues last couple months with outbreak of Velvet/ICH/Brook. Long story short, I now have 3 tanks total, 1 DT (in this thread), 1 20G (Red Sea Max Nano) frag QT & 1 20G (Innovative Marine Nuvo Pro) fish QT. For a minute I though I was going crazy (my wife thinks I am now crazy!) and at times felt like throwing the the towel thinking what was I thinking getting back into reefing!!! But after calming my nerves of loosing $2000+ in fish and a few corals I was back at more reading and asking questions. Of all the years of reefing and fish keeping in general (salt/fresh) I was finally struck with fish disease. Not sure if I would call it lucky or finally caught up to me. But I am now a firm believer of QT systems with strict procedures!

Thread when I noticed something was wrong: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/please-help-asap-ich-or-velvet.683140/

Since then I have gone through the 76 days fallow period and QT with remaining surviving fish back into DT.

I know we should all be sheltering at home, but I had to get more frozen food at LFS today and came across another Gem Tang on the way out.

Gem Tang 2.0

Sorry to hear about your run in with diseases, never a fun thing.

Guess it serves as a reminder for me on why I must be patient with my QT process

Wishing a speedy recovery from the situation! Did the new Gem come home with you?
