The mail is awfully slow this time of year and my supplies are running late. One thing finally arrived, and I am dying to post a picture, so....

Without further ado, here is a glamour shot of my new In Tank refugium. Curiously, the last item I ordered lol...

Ha! That’s awesome. If you do a build thread we can compare notes. I’m hoping to get mine at least filled and cycling over the holiday break...

Sounds good bud and that is my hope as well! I need to get a stand and do some re-arranging in my bedroom first though so we'll see

I was fortunate enough to have a perfect corner in my living room to fit the IKEA KALLAX cube bookshelf that it seems many use for this tank.

It’s going to position the tank just off of the far end of my sectional where I can sit right next to it. Close enough to enjoy all of the macro life...

More supplies rolling in and and down in the shop. I have two more shipments due in from BRS and InTank, and then I can build over the holiday break.

The IM tanks are so sharp looking. I can’t wait to get this up and running!

More items rolled in. Waiting for my bucket of salt, spinstream and ATO but have started to organize and get ready. Building stand and starting to organize cables tomorrow.

I’m really happy with the submersible fuge light. Very bright and drops right into chamber 3 with the heater and upgraded pump. I should also still have room to sink a small bag of Matrix in there.

Rear chambers Consist of the following:

Slot 1- InTank media basket with floss, Chemi Pure and a TBD bag in the third shelf.

Slot 2- InTank fuge with LR rubble and Chaeto.

Slot 3- Eheim heater, fuge light, Sicce .5 pump and small bag of Matrix.

Pics....

imo...go with 20g. it's going to require most of the same specs and equipment. with 20g, you'll have more room.

having said that...if ur limited by space and just wanted something simple to start..go with 10G

i have both and keep a simple 10g of mostly reef anemone in the bedroom and 20g of mostly lps in the study. good luck with ur decision... have fun

I would agree on getting g the 20 if the initial outlay is within your means. I had a more 10 gallon sized spot or would have gone bigger. After you buy the tank and stand, things like test kits, RODI and many other components will be the same cost no matter what the size.

My plan is to upgrade to the IM25 lagoon at some point...

i appreciate all of the help guys you really helped persuade me to get something a little bigger then a 10g, im currently looking at the Cobal C-vue 18 and 26 gallon tanks. They really do remind me of the Waterbox builds.

Looks good! What is the light you are running? It looks like a Kessil A80 but hard to tell without a top view...
