Hey everyone! I just set up my little nano tank, I want to know what your opinions would be on the equipment list.
Tank: nuvo fusion pro 20
Stand: one I built myself
Return pump: sicce 1.0
Return flow: 2 spinstreams
Skimmer: Nuvo dc desktop skimmer
Flow: mp10
Heater: eheim 75w
ATO: tunze osmolator nano
Bio media: seachem matrix
Mechanical: in-tank filter floss on left overflow, filter sock on right one
Chemical: chemipure blue nano
Salt: Red Sea coral pro

so the biggest question I have is for the lighting. I’ve been debating over 2 ai prime hds or 1 radion xr15 pro g5. I hear that the spread of having 2 primes would be good, but the power on the radions is just better. Any help on this would be extremely appreciated. Thank you all!

Cool tank! I would think one XR or one Prime should be enough. Let's see what others say.

I had the same debate, but ended up switching out the AI Prime 16 (which i had) to the XR15 G5 Blue. Overall, the XR15 gave me the spread I wanted, and, I wanted a light similar to my main DT, since I planned on moving corals around etc.

Hey! Sorry for the late reply. It’s pretty much a bunch of two by fours. I followed
This video, it’s an extremely sturdy stand. Then I just sanded and stained some plywood for the outside to give it a nice clean look!

Changed some stuff up! Got rid of the big rock in the upper left, going to make that a torch garden area I think.

Very nice setup, I had one, small but I liked it. Looks like you went with the radion. With your tank mostly softies that was a great choice, I found I had too much shadowing at the sides for SPS. Heck on the SCA I am running 2 15's, looks like it was made for them. Great job...

Yeah luckily I’m not looking to go into the sps too much. I get like 250 par at the top middle and 160 or so on the sand bed on the sides at 50% on the radion, so it could definitely be pushed a little more if I decide to go that route!

Those are some primo corals. Were they online purchases or do you have an awesome LFS?
I’m lucky enough to have a few awesome LFS I can choose from! A little pricey but all have great people there too.

The tank is officially 1 year old! There was a ton of ups and downs and I dealt with a major cyano problem that killed a lot of my old torches. My clowns also decided to start hosting my scolies so I had to rehome the scolies. Dealing with a little bit of bubble algae at the moment, but I see a decline in them already. I’m very happy with where the tank has started and where it is at now!
