Hello, I recently got into the hobby with a small Fluval Evo v saltwater tank. I currently have two small Ocellaris clownfish and a long tentacle anemone and I can’t seem to get them to host the anemone at all. Is it maybe because they are to small? The Lta is pretty big and looks to be in great condition only had this set up for couple of months now.

What type of lighting and glow do you have for the tank? How old is it? Worried you jumped in head first before researching anemone.
I probably did jump in to soon with the anemone I saw it at my lps and it was being hosted by a clown fish so I bought it. The light is stock from my fluval tank it has white and blue light only can’t adjust the brightness or intensity so I am not sure and my coral branded shrimp are one of my clown fish last night

Welcome to the reef! As others have said nothing good happens fast in this hobby. There’s a good chance the nem may never host the clown. But hey you got a cool tank, sweet fish, and a huge nem. I would suggest upgrading your lights for the long term.

I was able to get a pair to host in a LTA. It took them a while but what finally did it was only feeding their frozen food with a coral feeder directly on top of the anemone. It forced them touch it and after a few days they were driving into the nem to feel it out on their own. Now they only leave it to eat.

Mine will hover around my nems all day long. Even suck on the tentacles. The anemone still doesn't host them. Mine are defective.
