In between my 2 octospawn heads there is what looks like some kind of fleshy, skin looking thing that's raised up off of its skeleton, but still connected at the rim of the polyp. Any thoughts or ideas?

Yeah, I believe the split is finalizing. There's also a new split on the back side, I couldn't capture it in the picture... Thank you so very much, again!
I would love to get some octospawn myself! Looks very nice, what corals do you have?

I have 2 ricordea Florida mushrooms, 1 rhodactis mushroom, ultra acan lord, green candy cane, the octospawn and a nephthea leather. All fairly new as my tank was cycled in August.

I didn't add pictures of the octospawn or the 1 ricordea, since you've seen them already. And, I don't have a picture of my newest ricordea mushroom...sorry.
