Guys I need some input here. I am running 4x Radion XR30 G4 Pros with diffusers. Currently mounted front to back to avoid shadowing. I am using the RMS arms on a 24 inch deep tank. Center of light to the water line is 7.5 inches. From the top of the water line to the top of my rock work where most of my SPS is is another 7 inches. So frags sitting a total of 14.5 inches from the lights. Using the seneye par meter (i know its an apogee, but good reference), I'm at 325-350 par @ 40% intensity via AB+ (schedule via Apex). I see similar setups claiming 200-250 par at 50-65%+ intensity with no diffusers. Diffusers supposedly reduce par by 10-15%. I would expect with my current parameters I should be at 200ish. Anyone have a similar setup with any input. Does this seem normal or am I going crazy?

Attached pictures for referecne.

Well I did some further investigating and it appears like what I'm seeing is pretty normal. BRS investigates video showed that using a AB+ schedule, xr30 g4 pro mounted 8 inches above the water line and measurement at 6 inches below resulted in a middle hot spot par of 333-347. So our numbers are within striking distance of "similar".

So say its 350 - 10% loss for diffusers (35) = 315ish @ 40% power. They are 333-347 with 50% power and no diffuser and better measuring equipment and technique.

Ok I feel better now.

Looks good! I'm switching to 4 XR15 Gen 5's for my 120. Leaning toward Pro (vs Blue). Your Pro's look plenty blue to me.

I haven't followed through G5s much. I try not to for my wallets sake. Pretty bummed that the G5s won't work with my apex. Guess it doesn't matter much. Usually you set it and forget it.

I don't Ike the hot spots on the G4s. I'm sure the G5s solved that or much better. Maybe I'll watch some review videos later.
