Another Off Topic Duscussion (Sorry Mods about placement). I just needed to share something that happened recently. My 2013 Prius was knocking and had no power. My boy (24) decided he could fix it. I took it over and 2 days later he came back, telling me he'd taken the engine apart. I kind of freaked (I said WHAT??!!!). Now, he'd taken HIS car engine apart to replace stuff with help from a friend. It was successful so he thought he could do the same with mine. The issue was a bad head gasket and dirty Cylinders as well as a few other things i can't remember. He worked on it, replaced $1297 of parts and put it back together. Feels like a new engine. It's perfect. And I was pleasantly surprised. He asked for 2.5K for the work. I'm giving him 3.5K. With everything he did, it would have been 9.5K at the dealership (he checked).
