My gift to all of you: a bit of schadenfreude. I now have (microscope confirmed) ostreopsis dinoflagellates!

There are so many ways to end up with dinos. I sold two ginormous fish and reduced feeding. Argh. There goes another month.

Yes. But you better hurry. Only 10 months to run. ;)
Yep. 10 Months. A lot can happen in that time.
Some good, some bad.
That's why it's a grow out thread.

Update for this month! Nearly at the 1" mark, fully encrusted over the edges and has started growing a new tip. Overall growth is down from last month, most likely due to less direct attention to the tank. I'm free now though, so I should be able to catch up by next month.

Oh well….. tank took a dip and lost 50% of my colonies and the rest are continuing to STN. What caused it? All this time I thought I was dosing amino acid and since Me corals bottles are same for the amino acid and nitrate, i have been dosing nitrate all along because of my stupid mistake. Was already too late when I figured out what happened. Nitrate spiked to 90ppm and to add salt to the wound my CO2 regulator malfunctioned with the dang ph probe and my alk dropped to 5.2dkh. Almost shut down the tank for good.
Anyways, here is my June entry even tho I know it is now a no win situation for me.

Everyone’s frag looks great! Wasn’t home from vacation in time to snap a pic for June’s entry. Kinda embarassing, as I’m the one who should have my stuff together. Anyways, I used up my month with no submission. I’ll try to get my July one in soon!
