Do you guys run one heater or two.

The last setup I had, I ran one, grant it, it was only about 3 gallons and quickly figured out that one little 10w heater couldnt keep up with it being 67 in my house during the winter...

I have a larger more less 5 gallon now and am wondering if I should add another heater.

What are most of you using? On my larger builds in the past I have always used two smaller heaters but its kinda hard to do that with the small volume in a pico/nano

Let me know your thoughts.

I used two heaters, but when one of them packed up I had no way of knowing, so I finished up using just one under sized heater (until that failed too). Now I just use one, I can see no benefit in using two.

I have a 20 gallon display with 10 gallon sump - I figure around 25 gallons total volume. I just use one heater with an inkbird controller as a safety (shut off if the temperature gets too high, not control the heater all the time).

I have another tank, 55 gallons, no sump. That one I use two heaters in the winter and one in the summer.
