I added some nitrate and phosphate! First time ever did that in over 30 years and wowww do the LPS love it.

No, but I'm thinking of printing off the pictures in post #1 and pasting them over my own tanks. Success!

I added macro algae (seagrapes) to the sump. It really helped with nutrients imbalance

I switched from kalkwasser in my ATO to using a kalkwasser reactor on a night time dosing schedule and all my corals, not just my SPS/LPS corals really started to thrive. More stable and higher PH made a big difference.

Ok so that’s not one thing but these 3 things together really helped take my aquarium to the next level

I know I’m gonna catch heat on this one. Live Rock and adding a filter sock. Shortly after adding it rock with no other major changes, most of my nuisance algae cut back immensely. After adding the filter sock, nitrates and phosphates got a boost and seemed to clean out the rest.

Increased nutrients by getting rid of refugium, turning off skimmer at night, stopped running carbon so I don’t strip out traces. More or less went back to Berlin system.

Seems legit to me! Simple but effective! I saw a decrease in algae when I added more rock to my sump.

I bought some rock from KP. Still don’t have the 120 set up but I’m close and have the rock chillin in the 53g, ready to seed my dream

Started adding Dr. Tim's Re-Fresh after my water changes and man did it clear my tank up

I removed a pump that had a damaged power cable putting voltage into the tank. Corals really took off after that....LOL

Everyone everywhere kept telling me my light wasn't the cause for all my issues with corals. Well guess what... I picked up a 2nd hand ATI hybrid almost a year ago now and my tank has had tons of growth since!

Oh and simplyfing has made everything so much easier and more stable.
