Open Brain, Open Mouth: What do you feed your Lobo?

Lobos, sometimes referred to as lobed or open brain corals, need attention – they are not “set and forget” corals. The good news is that Lobos will let you know how they are feeling by their appearance. These Indo-Pacific corals may not be the easiest to keep and they have been known for fighting with other corals, however their appearance makes them a coral to aspire to keeping! Have you kept Lobos? What has been your experience? Please share any tips on placement, care, feeding, or your overall perspective of Lobos in the discussion.

Logos are always hungry. I have a few open brains and libos. I feed coral pellets and also reef roids with oyster eggs mixed in. If I feed every day they stay happy but if I feed the lobos they tend to start shrinking. The orange Lobo is vicous and needs to be far away from other corals.

That's not a Lobophyllia; that's an Acanthastrea pachysepta

I feed that big hunk anything and everything. Rods Food, LRS, regular ol frozen mysis and brine, Reef Chili, Reef Roids, pellets, whatever is on rotation that day, 3 times a week. Dudes lethal, big jerk murdered a neighboring disco mushroom so now he sits in a corner with his feather duster buddy.

They're neat, slow grower (in my experience) but very fun to feed. Mine looks like one of those mini powdered donuts when he's eating.
