so I like to slightly angle flats so the back side is higher than the front, for viewing of low growers like mushrooms and zoas. that way you can see them carpeting the rock when you are sitting in the room as opposed to having to be standing in front of the tank.

I like flat rock surfaces for coral to grow on but also like the flat areas to be at diffrent angles and slopes if that makes sense.
Good start or base imo. Keep at it.

You will do bare bottom or with sand? Sorry if that was already answered. You can make some of your openings into dark caves or hide away spots for fish too? The open swim throughs are good too dont get me wrong.
The 3 rocks up front ground level really set the depth. Its lookin better imo. They can be replaced with flat sheet shelf rock too...the small fist size up front ones.
Youll see most rock structures these days made from purple tonga branch style rock and puttyd together. I like the cut. Drill. Peg. Stack method. Zip ties can help too maybe some or a little. Just watch for sharp edges on the cuts of the zip ties and try and hide them in the formation or between rock.
Lookin good!

I am going to put sand bottom. And in this case you don’t think epoxy putty will hold this together?
