You can already expect to pay well over $100 for a legit one - even ones direct from ORA at $200 or more. If you see it cheaper, then I would question it... this is one of the most faked corals out there IMO.
I was selling a piece of mine for 50. Multi branches. I stay away from vendors

I have seen that OBT photo before. Always, impressive. I have a big OBT, but not that big... and mine is branchier too. I have three colonies of Pearlberry myself... and 5 frags from other people, but three of them are not legit.

That pic is 4 years old. Now it's just massive. I didn't want to turn it into an Oregon tort thread or I would show a pic of it now.

These are his pics. The top pic is about 4 years ago and the bottom pic is of a second colony he grew from the other.

The pearlberry is behind the Oregon tort with a lokani to the right .

I remember his tank thread on RC. Best looking OT colony I've ever seen. One of the benefits of running MH!

He is all radions now.

Understandable. I'm sure the corals still look great.
Here's a pic of a colony I have that looks similar to pearlberry.

I also have a different coral that was sold to me as pearlberry by a well known vender. I'm not sure yet if it is pearlberry or not. It isn't doing to well at the moment, but once it improves I'll post a pic.

here is mine that I got from WWC, it’s only been in the tank a month or so. I’m waiting for it to color back up.

Here is mine I got about a month ago from Boom Corals. I think it is just starting to gain some color other then green. I am excited to watch this grow out.

I took an updated top down shot tonight of my pearlberry I think my frag is really starting to take off. I need to get a better photo when the daylights are on, but you can see the growth and the new colors coming in. The base is still mostly green, but the new branch growth has blue tips

That is the best representative picture of a true original ora pearlberry in this thread. I believe Dougs' (jda) is legit as well.

The coral has light blue skin, but there is also some aquamarine in the branches usually lower. Coralites and tips are a purple/blue color in the upper areas. The coralites are spaced out and are one sided facing the light.

It's very hard to tell from pics but in person I can spot one in about 2 seconds.

It's a shame, but a lot of the classic names are being pasted on fakes and it can be hard to tell unless seen in person. Lime in the Sky and Ultimate Blue stag are two others that are faked as often as the Pearlberry.

Not an official Ora acquisition. This one is from Cultivated Reef but sold as a pearlberry. Probably not the same thing.

Awesome thread and I am very into this coral , I notice that the OG pearlberry tends to be the aqua skinned base , with the whiter branch structure and the purple corilites, the new PB seems to have much more pink tones in it , I think its prob the most scammed coral ever, I posted a few weeks back the sale thread for PB from ORA for anybody looking to get a "lineage" piece , but has been discussed is grown out broodstock in a diff system. I think thats the opnly reason why the pink vs blue one , they all cook up the same at the end if its an actual ORA PB , just takes longer with the "new" broodstock from what I see. Awesome thread , awesome coral.
