Hello, I just finished my stocking list for my 55 gallon tank. It is:

2 Ocellaris Clownfish
5 Blue Green Chromis
1 Diamond Goby
1 Royal Gramma Basslet
1 Flame Hawkfish
1 Yellow Tang

Is this too much? Could I add more? And what order should I add them in if it's not too much. (I already have the clownfish)

I should firstly ask if you have your quarantine tank set up because those fish are gonna need some serious work before you add them into your display.

I have different take on your stocking list.
Clownfish should be introduced as first species and Tang as last one.I know that one can keep tangs in 55 gal tank, but they are very active, like to swim and graze on algae and I would generally recommend to keep them in larger tanks.
Generally I think your list is too long too.

Too Long? Im sayin this 55 will look empty with this list. I like your chronological order though.....More small fish would be fine in my opinion. Just gotta let the tank grow into it biologically.

This tank isn't actually new, I bought used and don't know how long it was running before but the sand looks dirty so that's the reason for the Diamond Goby.

I would definitely like help picking out a few more fish! I kind of want a blue fish and also would prefer it to be reef safe. Any other suggestions will also be appreciated!

You have room for a few more small species but spread them out so you dont place sudden loads on the tank and manage water water quality and diet. Flakes and pellets are not complete diets

Unfortunately this still doesn’t look like enough to supplement its diet. @i cant think has a great article on valenciennea nutrition in home aquaria. your list looks fine but the tang may limit stocking due to tank size.

So if I don't get the Diamond Goby what could I to get rid of the algae? Just scrub it?

Would an Indigo Hamlet be okay in my tank? Is it too large with my current stock list?
Indigo and Mr. McGoo (flame hawk) might have issues, but could work. They will be sharing space. Order small sizes to mitigate aggression.

Is there a resource for potential stocking lists by tank size?

I have a 90g and no idea what to get.

start by deciding if it's gonna have live corals or not.....then you have your line in the sand. Browse my website by fish category and start making a list of what catches your eye....then start the compatibility list and start crossing off stuff......Enjoy the process.
