20 year culmination of my reefing experiences and here is what I an coming up with. I am by no means an expert and still learning every day. I am taking my time and painstakingly thinking through all the details. Believe me, I have spent countless hours researching to know exactly what I want. My company is paying for the tank so I am splurging and getting what I want. First thing it’s in my home office which I originally built as a storage shed. During COVID I converted it to a home office which was supposed to be a temporary solution. Now it’s my sanitary. The building is 8x12 and built with 2x6 floor joist. The subfloor was soft from taking water over the years. So first thing I had to rip up the floors and laid 3/4” solid hardwood for extra stability. I am concerned about the tank side of the building sinking so I will be keeping a close eye on it.

Latest work. Working on organizing a control board because I’m kinda OCD about wires lol. I originally had the Neptune Apex COR 15 but I returned it because the output options are either 3/4” or 1 1/4” the 250 Reefer is 5/8”. I spent literally hours only to find that you cannot easily convert it without a bunch of bulky clunky parts. I ordered an ole faithful Sicce SCD 3.0 to connect with my Apex. Before you comment all the ways to rig an adaptor, trust me I googled them all and I don’t like having multiple fittings, nor do I like the idea of having to order them. I needed something from my local Lowes and they have very limited 5/8” options. I feel like a $350 pump should come with multiple fittings.

You could have literally used 3/4" silicone hose clamped around the 5/8" return pipe. Or 1-1/4" hose clamped around the 25mm return pipe.

I knew someone would comment lol. The 3/4” outlet on the pump is rigid for hard plumbing only. You can’t just slide a 3/4” tube on there.

Quick updates. Soo many mods I will need to take the time to go through them all.

I absolutely love the way you've built in your controller cabinet! How do you access the back of it? Is the board just sitting there and ready to pull out?
